MEAL PLAN 😎 TUESDAY – Salmon Rice Bowl WEDNESDAY– Sausage Pasta THURSDAY – Soup & Toasties FRIDAY – Chilli Con Carne SATURDAY – Homemade burgers SUNDAY – Bangers & Mash The above includes one of my previous flat meal plans. Each meal is super simple, all pretty much foul proof. These meals are not only easy but super delicious and filling, perfect for students. By creating a meal plan you can visualize what meals will mostly use similar ingredients, helping stop overspending. One cupboard staple is tinned chopped tomatoes. Using chopped tomatoes creates the perfect base for a tomato sauce used in a range of meals. They can create flavourful pasta sauces, and rice dishes while being super affordable, making them essential on every shopping list. In this meal plan alone, they can be used in three out of seven meals. More of my flat’s shopping list must-haves include onion, garlic the foundation of most meals, and obviously, our beloved peach squash. A great tip for saving money on your weekly shopping is to clean out your fridge! Look at what keeps going off and what you are frequently replacing and keep a note for your next trip to the supermarket. |
As promised, I will end each blog post with some meal inspiration! Different meals are perfect for a variety of occasions. Each post will have one of my favourites for adjusting to that week’s situation.
Hosting a dinner party with your nearest and dearest friends and don’t know what to make? Impressing a group with your culinary skills can be difficult. However, I
recommend making Gyros. Gyros is the perfect group dish! It is both flavourful and engaging. The most popular forms of gyros are pork, chicken, and halloumi therefore, they can easily be made vegetarian. They are also ideal if you have a busy day ahead of you a lot of gyros can be prepared in advance. Very convenient for a busy lifestyle and a real crowd-pleaser!
