Shall we go out for dinner?
This post will explore just a few of the many restaurants that Glasgow has to offer. I will be rating these restaurants based on ambiance, food, drink, and overall value for money, making you find the best fit for you.
Jay’s BBQ Hotpot
Jay’s BBQ Hotpot is an authentic Korean restaurant that specializes in barbecue and hot pot dishes. Jay’s is the best hot-pot and BBQ restaurant in Glasgow, located just off Glasgow city centre. The food is served buffet style with guests doing the cooking themselves, creating an interactive cooking experience. Jay’s offers a wide selection of food but lacks a diverse section of drinks, so you may have to book a cocktail bar after if you want drinks! Staff are also super friendly and willing to offer assistance and give recommendations.

El Jefe’s
El Jefe’s is a Mexican restaurant which currently has two locations in Glasgow. El Jefe’s is super vibrant and full of life. With a great selection of yummy margaritas, tequila flavours and live music, it is the ideal beginning to a big night out. Combine this with delicious food and you have the perfect evening. I highly recommend the fish tacos and corn rib!!! However, El Jefe’s is quite expensive so definitely a pay day spot.

Loon Fung
Loon Fung is a traditional Cantonese Chinese restaurant in Glasgow, located on Sauchiehall street. They offer a diverse menu with a variety of different dishes, all very generous portion sizes, which are ideal for sharing. The dim sum was also super yum! And they offer a great opportunity to try some dishes, with us even all trying chicken feet for the 1st time! Not many drink opportunities so a great opportunity for a wholesome non boozy dinner.

Santorini
Santorini is a Greek restaurant situated in Finneston. Santorini offers small sharing plates based on traditional Greek dishes. The food is absolutely gorgeous and some of the most authentic and accurate Greek food that I have had in Scotland. So many delicious wine and cocktail options, Santorini is an absolute must and my favourite!!
